Day 1: Coban arrival and day tours 

Morning: Start the day with a guided coffee tour at one of Alta Verapaz’s coffee farms. Learn about the coffee-making process, from planting and harvesting to roasting. Enjoy a fresh cup of locally-grown coffee.

Orquigonía

Afternoon: Visit Orquigonia, an orchid sanctuary, for a peaceful walk among native orchids and plants. Wander along the trails and enjoy the lush natural surroundings.

Day 2: Semuc Champey

Morning: Depart early for the Semuc Champey natural monument. Hike up to the viewpoint to get a panoramic view of the turquoise pools and the surrounding jungle.

K’an Ba Cave

Afternoon: Take a refreshing swim in the natural pools of Semuc Champey, and, for adventure-seekers, explore the K’an Ba Cave. This cave adventure involves wading through underground rivers by candlelight.

​​Day 3: Finca Sacmoc

Morning: Travel to Finca Sacmoc, a remote farm offering a blend of history, adventure, and nature. Swim in the natural pools and the waterfall.

​Day 4: Hun Nal Ye

Morning: Drive to Hun Nal Ye, a beautiful ecotourism reserve in Baja Verapaz. Upon arrival, start the day with a hike through the reserve’s lush nature trails, spotting wildlife such as birds and butterflies. We'll enjoy activities like tubing down the river.

​Day 5: Candelaria Caves

Morning: Depart for the impressive Candelaria Caves. Upon arrival, embark on a guided tour through the underground caverns, learning about their geological formation and cultural significance for the Maya.

Afternoon: Explore deeper sections of the cave system tubing in a sacred river, 

Evening: Return to Cobán for dinner and a quiet evening after a day of exploration.

​Day 6: Chixoy Dam & Scenic Boat Ride

Morning: Head to the Chixoy Dam, Guatemala’s largest hydroelectric project. Learn about the dam’s history and importance to the country’s power supply.

Afternoon: Embark on a scenic boat ride along the Chixoy River, surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs and forests. Take in the serene views as you drift along the river, admiring the natural beauty.

Evening: Return to Antigua Guatemala
